For a psychedelic spiral pattern, lie your item down and pinch the fabric in the centre of where you want the swirl to start. Twist in any direction so the garment begins to take on a spiral shape. Once the fabric won’t twist any further (it should bunch together and resemble a loaf of bread!) put an elastic band around the edge of the ‘loaf’ of fabric. It should just hold the central swirl in place.


Next, squirt the dye onto the fabric, using the colours of your choice. After leaving the dye for the set time, let the colour air-dry (on a washing line outside to avoid carpet drips). A few hours later and ta-dah! A vibrant tie-dye garment for a flower-powerful new you.
