There are many reasons that you might choose a stick foundation over other types - after all, they're easy to store and quick to apply! To find the right one though, you'll need to consider a few key factors like your skin type and the kind of finish you prefer.
Finding a Foundation That Works With Your Skin Type
Dry skin needs added moisture to prevent further dehydration; in a foundation, this can be found in the form of hydrating ingredients like vitamin E as well as soothing botanical oils and extracts.
Oily skin, on the other hand, requires moisture control - otherwise, your complexion can look greasy. As the majority of stick foundations have a matte finish, they're great at keeping oiliness to a minimum.
Stick foundations have a creamy texture that melts with the warmth of the skin, making application seamless and never cakey. You can alter the foundation stick to suit your skin by choosing the right finish and targetting concerns with primers and powders.
