It's no surprise when you consider the quality of this case, which includes cross compressions straps within both internal compartments, and expandable sides. 

Furthermore, the design has an inbuilt TSA-approved lock, and an address tag to avoid getting your luggage muddled up at arrivals. We also appreciate the inclusion of a top handle, something which seems to have gone out of vogue, making lifting the suitcase much simpler. 

Sure, this suitcase is expensive, but if you're willing to invest, then we're almost certain you won't regret it! Despite being around the same size as many of the others on this list, it's about 1 kg lighter with a robust handle that's less likely to break.

We especially like the strong compression straps, which will help to keep your contents secured. This gives them less chance to move around and, thus, less chance to break. 

This suitcase also includes a TSA-approved combination lock, so you won't have to worry about finding one yourself. It might not be the most exciting to look at, but it's sure to get the job done!

This pod-like design from Delsey is getting our ranking underway. The nifty suitcase boasts a large capacity and double wheels, but what's particularly impressive is how well it can handle different terrains on either four or two wheels. 

Moreover, we particularly enjoy the minimalist, contemporary style. If this colourway isn't up your street, there are a few more to pick from too. Sadly, it's on the heavier side, which has its drawbacks, and is also rather pricey.
