The world of men’s jewellery has always been considered difficult to navigate, as often the pieces are too large and chunky, giving them somewhat of a novelty look. However, inspired by gender-neutral fashions and celebrity icons such as Connell from hit miniseries Normal People, accessories like chains, rings and bracelets are becoming more common, and easier to integrate into your everyday wardrobe.
Luckily there are only a few distinctions to worry about, all of which we’ll cover in our buying guide. We’ve also got some great recommendations from Amazon, ASOS, Argos and more which are suitable for all types of men, regardless of their style. We have also partnered with jewellery designer Leila Arzaghi for reviewing and fact-checking the article to deliver you the best information.

The classic chain bracelet is the most common option for blokes. They can come in various sizes from subtle to chunky, as well as in an assortment of different links. If you're stuck on which to pick, the most common links are cable chains, Cuban chains, European Figaros or the seriously timeless curb chains.
This style of bracelet can be made from a number of different metals, from the inexpensive to the wallet-shattering. Nevertheless, any metal will offer flexibility and work well whether you’re dressed formally or casually.
The only time this differs is when you may opt for a fabric material bracelet. These won’t be a chain per se, as they won’t have any links. But they will still have a similar design with a clasp and an all-in-one connected construction.
Bangle-style bracelets are traditionally one piece of material (usually metal) that wraps around the wrist. This piece uses tension to stay put, so they don't usually have a clasp.
This is a good option if you want your accessory to remain visible most of the time as they’re a lot more static than chains, which will slide up and down the wrist depending on the position of your arm. The downside of that is that some people can find this a little uncomfortable as it remains in one place all day.

Typically, a beaded bracelet is created using a piece of elasticated or adjustable cord with stones or beads threaded through it. These beads can be of various shapes, sizes and colours, which gives this style a little more adaptability as they can be colour-coordinated with your outfit.
While many would consider these a more 'feminine' accessory, they’ve become rather trendy over the last few years, particularly as fashion all over the world has become more relaxed and casual, which suits this type of bracelet to the ground.
There are plenty of material options when it comes to bracelets. The most common, of course, are metals, which can range from 24 karat gold to steel and pretty much everything in between. To avoid having to re-mortgage your house for a real gold bracelet, you could always consider a plated one, which gives the looks without the cost.
The thing to consider when buying metals is whether you are allergic to any. Mixed metals are usually the culprits here – zinc alloy, for example, can result in itchy skin and rashes. The only way to avoid this is by either knowing your body or sticking to trusted metals such as sterling silver, gold and stainless steel.
If you’re looking for something a little more casual, then you can opt for a fabric bracelet. These can be made from leather, plastic, or fabrics such as nylon or cotton. With these, you won’t have to worry so much about allergic reactions, but more that they’ll wear down over time and possibly lose their looks.
Whether you go for a metal or fabric bracelet, a ring can really complete the look. Check out the best Rings for Men!
Ordinarily, men's jewellery will be made to fit the average guy's dimensions. However, if you, or the person you’re buying for, has notably lean or broad wrists, then it may be worth considering the size of the bracelet so that it will be comfortable.
Depending on the style of bracelet, most brands provide the length or the diameter. It's easy enough to measure one’s wrist with a piece of string and tape measure, although it’s worth mentioning that while a particular bracelet may be too big or small, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road.
How so? Well, there are companies out there who specialise in modifying jewellery, so they could extend your bracelet, or likewise, remove a few links to make it smaller. However, this is usually only for metal designs, and won’t be much use if you want to alter a leather piece, for example.

It's the most expensive product in the ranking, but there is something about wearing pure gold that we assure you will just elevate your mood. Maybe it's how special it makes you feel, or maybe it's the fact that these elements come from the very birth of our universe, who knows?
Here we've opted for one of the more affordable gold options, 9 karat. The design is a double cut curb, which bears a resemblance to the classic curb, but is a little more unique, so you won't see too many others wearing this link style around. This is a piece to wear with pride for years to come.
This bangle from TreasureBay screams sophistication, and at a very respectable price too. It is crafted from sterling silver and has a classic bangle design with ball cuffs, though it transitions from a round structure on the side to a plate across the top.
This composition undoubtedly adds a bit of personality to the accessory, but it also opens up the possibility of having it engraved. This could be done on the inside or the outside, making it a great option if you're after a unique gift idea.
Straightforward and simple, we'd be shocked if any bloke over the age of 15 hasn't already had three of these in his lifetime. That said, it isn't necessarily a bad thing. While it may not scream individuality, not everyone wants to, so this is ideal for those who like to keep their jewellery low profile.
The bracelet is made from stainless steel so there should be no issues in terms of allergens, not to mention that it's another affordable alternative to real silver or gold. Plus, it comes in a diameter of 21.5 cm, which should fit the average male wrist perfectly.
This handmade macrame bracelet is decorated with natural yellow tiger's eye gemstones that some believe carry healing powers. Now, we aren't going to worry about whether that's true or not, that's solely for you to decide, but what we can say is that it's a rather handsome stone that looks right at home on a bead bracelet.
This option is also the most versatile when it comes to adjustability, with the length capable of fitting wrists from 16.5 - 24.5 cm. One other touch we like is that each order comes in a nice little bag, making it an ideal gift for someone you love.
If you like to make conscious decisions about your fashion, you're going to love what #Togetherband are doing. They have set up an initiative that aims to inform, inspire and empower with their products. This particular bracelet is for their goal number 10, reducing inequality, but there are as many as 17 different goals to rally behind.
If that's not enough, then the company also create all their products from recycled plastic waste from the ocean and decommissioned seized illegal firearms in Central America. Talk about taking on the world's problems! This pack of two will brighten up your outfit while doing good.
While it looks like it could belong on the wrist of a prince, this offering from Coolsteelandbeyond is actually made of stainless steel with an extremely polished gold finish. It definitely looks much more expensive than it is!
The bracelet uses a classic bangle design with two cuff balls to keep it in place and can be adjusted to diameters between 17-20 cm. The company do not state whether it is plated or painted, so you might want to be careful wearing it in the shower or for extended periods of time – if it is painted, then the gold finish will wear off if not looked after suitably.
If you're the sort of person that likes to keep your look fresh and yourself motivated, you're going to love this pick. This two-pack includes two adjustable lava bead bracelets, each with different colour stone beads - in this case, tiger eye stone and matte black agate.
Not only do lava beads look incredibly cool, but their porous nature also makes them perfect for housing essential oils. Splash on your favourite scent and keep yourself calm or invigorated throughout the day. Unfortunately, the beaded bracelets are pretty small, but there will be some flexibility due to the elasticated material.
Tommy Hilfiger are one of the best-known lifestyle brands around today, and pretty much everything they produce oozes cool, so it's no surprise that they nailed it when it came to designing men's bracelets, too.
The double leather piece uses a polished enamel clasp emblazoned with the classic Tommy colours, which doesn't just keep the bracelet secure on your wrist, but it looks good while doing it. It might be a little expensive for what it is, but if a designer bracelet will make you happy, then that certainly shouldn't put you off.
This offering from ASOS Design has a tonne of exciting character thanks to its quirky embossed design. We can't say for sure that it's inspired by Aztec architecture, but either way, it looks super cool.
The bangle uses a traditional open-ended design, so it should be a little more flexible in length than most other bracelets. However, the fact that it's a one-size-fits-all leaves us to believe it might not be best for everyone.
