This book contains a lot of heavy subjects including murder, paedophilia, drug use, rape, suicide and child abuse. Following on from that warning it seems really strange to say I enjoyed this book, but I did. It gave me The Sinner vibes (Season 1) and I would love to see this turned into a Netflix show. As you can see from the warnings it has all the characteristics Netflix like their dramas to have!
This book kept shocking me, by the end of the first chapter I could tell it was going to be a good crime thriller as I was already completely shocked, it's full of twists and turns and there are little drops of information fed to you throughout that bring the story full circle at the end.
As I said, a perfect Netflix series! The book does mention COVID a lot, as it is set in 2021, so it's relevant to society and there is an author's note at the end explaining why this choice was made. It didn't take away from the story for me but I know a lot of people don't want to read about it yet! This is definitely one to pick up if you like crime thrillers but not for the faint-hearted!
