Jo’s Top 9 Essentials for Home Sickness
'As someone who has spent the last 5 and a half years living abroad in Japan, I know a thing or two about homesickness. I love my life across the ocean, however, there's nothing I wouldn't give to have the chance to pop over and see my family whenever I like.
I would love to fill this list with my mum's home cooking and my dad's cheesy jokes, but alas, Amazon hasn't raided the Chilton family home yet! So instead, I'm going to talk about some of the things that have been fabulous in relieving a bit of that daily homesickness.'
Jo from YouTube's @minakagocouple has warmly curated a list of food and products that can soothe that homesickness, wherever you are. Whether to be sent as a list to loved ones, or using this as examples for inspiration on what to send to someone, be sure to include these in any 'missing you' packages or other gifts for those who are missing home.

Jo's Top 10 Favourite Japanese Snacks in the UK
'Whenever I go to a foreign country, one of my favourite things to do is visit a local supermarket. One key reason is of course because food is my one true love, but other than that, supermarkets give you the chance to experience the everyday life of people in the country. You can learn so much about a country from their cuisine, and it would be a travesty to visit a place and not experience as many delicacies as possible.
I've been lucky enough to live in Japan for the past 5 years, and during that time I can safely say that I have become an expert in the field of Japanese snacks! I wish I could wave my magic wand and let you experience Japan in the flesh as I have, but alas, the best I can do is let you know how you can get your hands on some of the tastiest treats this country has to offer. Let your taste buds do the travelling!'
If you're wondering where to buy Japanese snacks in the UK, look no further! Kagoshima resident couple @minakagocouple's Jo has once again curated a list for us and made it all easy to buy from sites like Amazon. From snacks that you may have had before, to the complete unknown, welcome to the world of Japanese snacks. Itadakimasu!
